damansara i movie
just when i thought that the day of the year is over.. i remembered 1 important thing. damansara is also doing the i movie and we will watch it. TODAY!!!! but i still think that cheras is better.....here are the movie summaries and comments... starting from the last place to the 1st. same as cheras, their title is 25 candles.Beruang
the theme this year is fashion. the story starts with a flashback of the death of the main character's girlfriend. then a women came into the shop he own(i think) that sells bridal gown. she wanted a beautiful gown there as her marriage was soon but the man was not willing to sell as it was designed by him for his girlfriend(dead). he lost his temper and scold the women and she left the shop. surprisingly, the man called the women to apologize and a relationship was formed. as time passes, their relationship grew stronger. then one day, the fiance met with the women and gave her a romantic meeting to apologize for the time he was not there with her. but, the women suggested that they went their separate ways and broke up.(so ungrateful). the fiance was sad and lock himself in his room(childish) for 3 days. as his mom was worried, he was seen running away from home(childish again). one day, the women met up with her fiance's mother and they had tea together. but then,the women pour something into the drink(can u guess what?) when she was not looking. she drank it and left. t hope, she collapsed and was sent to the hospital while her boyfriend rushes to see her. the doctor said that her liver was damaged and need a replacement in 24 hours. the man volunteered but the liver was donated to her by her former fiance and sacrificed himself in the process. the women broke up with the man........
Comments: (my opinion)
PROS: there are subtitles!!! the actress was good(best actress award)
CONS: sound effect not that good. story too simple
HARIMAU
the theme is HORROR(ooh.... yes finally something interesting) the story started with the murder of women dressed in red clothes. apparently, this had continued for 4 years. the protagonist(or is he??) was a detective that tried to find the serial killer for 4 years due to the fact that his wife was killed by the same person.(typical) he searched for years but couldn't find the killer. as he lost his temper in the police station, he ran off. then, all mystery was solve in the end. Apparently..... HE WAS THE SERIAL KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!(that was unexpected)he developed a split personality and killed his wife 4 years ago as she cheated him. he did not know this and continued living without knowing his other self. he killed all those that wear the same clothes as his wife(red). then, out of nowhere, he was shot dead by his companion that found out something was wrong with him.
Comments: (my opinion)
PROS: actor was good(best actor award), interesting storyline. SUBTITLES!
CONS: confusing as the later part has no subtitles, is this horror??
SELADANG(if seladang is second..that means the winner of the i movie is........!!!!)
theme is army(yeah, action?)the story started with the protagonist wanting to be in the army but flashback showed that his mother disagreed and punished him(so damn cold-hearted)he ran away from home and pursued his dream. his succeed to be enroll in the army and trained hard. then, it showed that it was a tradition for the squad to mourned the death of their comrades with candles at their graves. the number of candles symbolized their contribution to the army ranging from to a maximum of 25(so creative with the title). he worked called and became a sergeant. the war began and he and his troops of 30 people had to faced the enemy of 500 people!!. he encouraged them by telling them his story. in the end, the war ended with the troops having the victory. but in the process, the protagonist was injured and could not be a soldier anymore. he said that he wanted to be remembered and in the end he died (don no y) and his grave was placed with 25 candles..(so freaking sad......WAHHHH...sob...sob...WAHHHHHHHHH.....fainted yet again for the 2nd time in a week due to insufficient H2O)
Comments: (my opinion)
PROS: SUBTITLES!!, good camera angle, good sound effect, freaking sad storyline but in a good way. best script award
CONS: sadly, it exceeded the given time by 40 secs and 16 % gone.....
HELANG
the theme is... i don no.... started with the mom celebrating her son's birthday but unable to celebrate it with him. then.. FLASHBACK(again). she was celebrating her son's 25 birthday. soon, the son his father leaving and apparently, he made a conclusion that his mother chased him out. further explanations stated that she chase him out because the father had a disease and should be sent for treatment outstation but couldn't tell the son to avoid worrying him. the mom's relationship with her son worsened. she tried to explain everything but the son would not listen. the son ran away and enrolled in the air force .... flashback over... in the end, her husband died 1 month after that due to the disease. so she could not explain to her son. furthermore, her son died soon after died after his plane crashed. she continued her life and not to be burden by their deaths. (the most interesting part)-------- she walked out in the garden and the ghost(a metaphor for memories) of the son and father was with her... walking... ( another freaking sad story that touched my heart...WAHHH......WAHHHH...... y does it have to be this way????)
Comments: (my opinion)
PROS: sad storyline again but in a good way. good visual and sound effect. best moment award. SUBTITLES!!
CONS: more talking than acting.
OVERALL REVIEW: A lot of deaths!!!( all of the movies have death in it...) mostly sad storyline.. to tell the truth, i liked seladang's movie the most as it was the most touching one and so creative.
